In most world-class cities, social life expands naturally — you meet people at events, through friends of friends, at the places you go. Cairo doesn't work that way. Circles are closed. Introductions are rare. And approaching someone you don't know — especially for women — simply isn't done.
The result is a city full of remarkable people living completely parallel lives, never crossing paths. Amara bridges that gap. A curated, members-only space where the whole point is to meet people — safely, naturally, among equals.

Core Experience
Any Black or Diamond member can post a dinner, trip, or gathering. You browse, apply, and are personally selected by the host — no algorithm. You see every profile in the room before you commit. Afterwards, guests leave a written review. Amara facilitated the meeting. Real life handles everything after.
Always On
A private, vetted room for daily interaction. Restaurant recommendations, weekend plans, "who's in Sahel next week?" — the quality of every person filtered by Amara membership. Interest-based threads and Cairo/Sahel location channels keep conversations focused and relevant.

On Demand
When enough members express genuine interest in something — a padel morning, golf round, gallery opening, group trip — Amara organises it. Entirely reactive to member demand. Always small. Always curated. Never a large open event.
Twice a Year
Two private ticketed events per year — Summer in Sahel (location TBC), Winter in Cairo. Tables available for purchase. Black and Diamond members see the full attendee list and can message other guests before the event. The conversation starts before anyone arrives.

Every member goes through a full vetting process before they ever set foot in an Amara experience. Identity verified. Instagram reviewed. Background assessed. Approved by a rotating committee — not an algorithm, not an automated system. A real human decision, made every single time. Your privacy is protected at every level. Screenshot protection is enforced across the entire platform. No profile, no conversation, no attendee list can be shared outside of Amara. You know exactly who is in the room. And they have been held to the same standard as you.

Amara is for Egypt-based individuals who are established or building towards it — curious, ambitious, and genuinely social. Membership is not about title or income. It is about mindset, community fit, and a genuine desire to expand your circle beyond your current world. Every applicant is reviewed by our committee.
You submit an application covering your name, Instagram, profession, company, education, travel habits, and lifestyle interests. Our rotating five-person committee reviews applications weekly. If you match the Amara standard, you will receive a personal invitation to complete your membership. There are no automated approvals.
Core gives you full access to browse and apply to experiences, the member directory, community chat, and both flagship events. Black unlocks in-app messaging, the ability to host your own experiences, Instagram visibility, and priority event tables — this is where most active members land. Diamond adds full privacy controls, incognito browsing, first access to flagship tables, a personal concierge, and the ability to bring one non-member guest to events.
Once a month in Cairo (and weekly in Sahel during July and August), Amara books a table at a high-end restaurant or nightlife venue and opens 8 spots. You apply and answer a few questions. Our team hand-picks the best possible table — deliberately mixing professions and backgrounds, never two people from the same circle. Nobody knows who is coming until they walk through the door.
Screenshot protection is enforced across the entire app for every member regardless of tier. No profile, conversation, experience, or attendee list can be screenshotted. Diamond members additionally get incognito browsing and a blurred profile photo by default, revealed only to members they choose. Cairo is a small, highly connected city — discretion is built into the platform at every level.
